I saw this yesterday (am I the last person in the known Universe to see this?) and absolutely adored it.
To get what you want, you have to take risks. And when you’re down, get up again!

chris´s last blog ..Perfect 10 update…week 5…and a picture of my shirt…lol.
I must be the last one to see it! I was devastated when that one part happened, but figured that it must get better so I kept watching.
Cheers,

KRISTEN’S RAW´s last blog ..Raw Vegan Recipe (video): Cherry Chocolate Bomb Shake
It reminded me of this song that became a fave here in SA with the Rugby :
Tubthumping by Chumbawamba
“(We’ll be singing, when we’re winning, we’ll be singing)
I get knocked down, but I get up again
You’re never gonna keep me down
I get knocked down, but I get up again
You’re never gonna keep me down
I get knocked down, but I get up again…..”
Hmmmm…maybe a good theme song for this journey of mine

Thanks 4 stopping by.

Hi Hanlie,
I was lying in bed last night pondering how I was going to lose at least 30kg’s by next weekend when I stumbled apon your website. I was a interested because your title is about Fertility (I’ll get to this later)and then you mentioned South Africa….I was HOOKED.
You see, next weekend I am flying home…to South Africa, and I swore on the last flight from SA that I would never weigh 98kg again (I am short..5’2″ in US terms I think that is about 1m 58cm..I think) well guess what? I am not going home being 98kg I am 99kg! hmm I think I need to be more specific next time I wish for something. Now with Facebook so many people want to see me and I am horrified! The last time some of them saw me is over 20years ago and I weighed in around 52kg. They are going to think I ate the bakery!
But the truth is I have PCOS, I’m not sure if you are familiar with it. But one of the primary side effects is obeseity and infertility. Hello I have both. We are blessed with one little rag-a-muffin. How it happened we don’t know and we have a lot of doctors scratching their heads. I think it was becuase I had just lost about 5-10kgs and with PCOS a loss of even 5% is HUGE and can have a great positive impact on your fertility.
We have been trying for another child now for 6 years with no luck. I have been desperatey trying to lose the weight and it is so super stubborn, I lose a kg…I gain 3????? Our doctor called us in in November and said that in the 17years that he has been practicing in the fertility field I am amongst the 3 most difficult cases….goody. To be honest I would rather win the lottery.
But this is why I am writing to you. If you don’t mind me asking…have you or your doctor ever looked into the chance that you too might have PCOS?
I can see that you have been very inspirational to many people and you should be very proud. It would be wonderful for your dreams of becoming a parent to come true.
All the best,
Caroline
PS I tried to send this to you through the “contact me” section but it failed twice.
