This is a great post Hanlie. Affirmations and positive thinking really does lay the tracks for a healthy life. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

What an insightful post! The movie sounds great (my daughter loved the book!)

Two things I thought of - this summer an affirmation QUEEN friend suggested throwing your head back & arms up in the air when you repeat an affirmation - then try the same affirmation bent over, looking toward your feet - which feels 'true'?? (hmm - bet you can't guess) so HOLD YOUR HEAD UP when you affirm something, & it has more power for change!

& second: I've been reading 'My Stroke of Insight' by Dr Jill B. Taylor, who had a stroke in her 30s (genetic defect) & as she was 'reclaiming' her mind & memories, realized she could totally CHOOSE which to reintegrate, & which she'd rather not - & shifted to a much more positive person!

I remind myself & others to try to affirm only those things we wish to carry forth - saying 'that was a GREAT affirmation (I'll never . . .' I'm so ...' etc) now - is there something you'd rather affirm??

blessings

That was me six months ago, digging up the painful crap to expell the stink. Sunlight is an excellent disinfectant. Holding up painful memories and ideas and inspecting them to see if they hold true. It's a hard, but really good place to be.
I liked this post Hanli, I hope you sort through it thoroughly and find your truth.
hugs,
Chris

You are a very wise woman Hanlie. It's so important to have a plan to keep yourself positive. Thanks for this.
