I’m taking a bit of strain at the moment.
It’s as if I’ve lost my groove. I haven’t been as consistent in eating healthy the last few days and I’ve missed a few workouts. I feel totally blah! Nothing is giving me pleasure right now (certainly not the supposed “treats” I’ve been having. Why do we call things that harm us treats anyway?).
There are deeper issues at play here and I am working through them… I will definitely write about this in the days to come.
In the mean time I’m just hanging on for dear life and trying to remember that I already have the answers. It’s just a question of assembling the pieces of the puzzle.
If you happen to come across my groove, please wrestle it to the ground and send it back to me. Express delivery will be appreciated!

your grove is hiding with MY groove in some illusive place!
I thought I found it, but, no…
Hugs to you!

We all have days/weeks while this. I am also a bit off my game since I was traveling and then when I got back I was asked to staff a WW meeting and so missed my exercise class. I can feel what would happen if this continued on for days.
It sounds like you know what is going on. I’m looking forward to reading about it, because I think it’s these deeper issues that are the ones that really need attention and care on this journey.
Excellent point about the “treats” that actually cause us harm. Can you think of a treat that will actually feel good and help you feel better? (nice walk with wonderful music?)
You have so many people who love and care about you Hanlie, and we know you can push through this hard little bump. You can do it! I know it.
Please do write about it, as deeply as you can. I bet that will help too….

Sending you a big hug from Nebraska! It can be so frustrating when life gets in the way of what we are trying to control and accomplish. My tips are to write about it (even if it’s not blogged), talk to people about it, take a deep breath and focus on how this is affecting you. Think about other obstacles you have faced and conqured. Imagine yourself climbing this mountain. It will be difficult and you may fall a couple of times, but we all must pick ourselves up and trudge on. I’ll keep you in my thoughts. XX
Hugs being sent your way! Hang in there!

Why do we call things that harm us treats anyway? <— SO true!! I'm sure you'll find your groove soon. I know all too well (unfortunately!) exactly what you mean!

I, myself, lost “the groove” yesterday. But for some odd reason, reading that you’ve lost yours makes me want to fight for both of us! So, no, Hanlie, you are *not* allowed to lose your groove because I’m depending on you!
You are doing phenomenally well. We all have set backs. What would life and evolution be without setbacks? But let’s move forward together! We can do this!
(am I like some weird cheerleader on crack today? Sorry Hanlie!)
Always rooting for you,

I felt exactly like this the last few days. But you know, I’m slowly feeling my groove come back. Yours is coming, it’s just dragging it’s feet a bit.
Keep on hanging – you’re doing so well!

You can do this!!
With the school holidays my healthy eating has definitely taken a knock. How do we say Hot Choc Fudge and Brownie Sundae and Wimpy Breakfasts….Eeeek!! My body is in protest. The biggie – routine has changed and it’s shaken my healthy eating world!! I’m sticking to gym religiously though. I’m crazy – I love it. With the school holidays I’m able to sneak in a few classes I’ve wanted to try in the mornings.
I hope to be back 100% in my zone/groove as I adjust to a temporary routine change. It’s a little hiccup in my journey to success.
Just remember – You can do this!! You will get your groove back.
Ahhhh dear Hanlie…hugs. Here’s a conversation I have with myself when I feel like you do (and trust me, funks happen).
Karen: Yikes! I feel so full of dread and ugh and ick!
Karen: Gosh, that’s scary, have you ever felt this way before?
Karen: Yeah…every once in a while, I feel like this.
Karen: did you eventually get over it?
Karen: yeah….
Funks happen. We get over them. If we don’t, we seek help. Funks happen, we examine, we feel what we feel.
Oh, and I SO agree with your commentary re “treats.”
Hang in there and don’t resist…what we resist, persists.

I’m beginning to realize that these little “blips” are part OF the groove. If we let them, they will make us stronger and more resolved. We LEARN from them and build a better defense for the next time we stray. I’m not telling you something you don’t already know (or I hope you know it)–that you are resilient and resourceful and strong.
Now, get thee to the pool!

Could you have picked a more perfect picture? Just listen to what Cammy said, and you will be fine! You have been hitting it physically and mentally pretty hard, so maybe you just over did it a bit and needed a little break. You will be just fine.

Hanlie, I haven’t come across your groove, but if I find it, I will sure send it back your way. Good luck getting back on track!

I think yours and mine are off partying it up somewhere together. If I hear from either of them it is a spanking and sent packing home. Until then keep on hanging in there, it will come back.

Yup feeling this vibe to but not on the weight issues in life for once lol ( ok that’s the first time I have been able to write that. How cool…) anyways just a life grove bump around here these days. Finding the “happy place” seems to be a challenge lol. But I am still diligently looking for it! I know I had it, its around here some where buried under dry wall dust and a job that.. well anyways..
Chin up chickie. You have come so far! You have not fallen as far as you probably think you have. Make a list of the positive… You will surprise yourself!

I’m sorry you’re going through this, Hanlie. Things in life have a way of cycling and you’re just in the down part of the cycle right now. Please do hang in there because all will get better. You’ve made such wonderful progress so far, focus on that until you get your groove back.
