I’m sitting here in an almost empty house… Except for our furniture and large appliances, laptop and modem, bedding, clothes for tomorrow and our cats, everything is now at the new house. The movers will be here first thing tomorrow morning…
In South Africa we have only one landline telephone company – Telkom. They’re terrible, but what can you do? We have to use them! We initiated a request for a phone and ADSL line at our new house at the beginning of March. I checked with them last week, only to find that they had cancelled the request, so we had to start from scratch and go to the back of the queue!
So, it will be approximately 3 weeks before we have an internet connection at home…
I’ll just have to spend all my time exercising!
I’ll pop in from time to time at the nearby internet cafe, but obviously I can’t sit there for hours and work my way through my google reader, so you won’t be seeing me on your blogs for a while.
I’ve prepared some posts in advance and they are scheduled to be published during the next week. After that I’ll see how I go.
While I’m subjected to internetlessness, I plan to have our laptop serviced and repaired – the one hinge is broken. It’s as good a time as any!
Rest assured that I’ll be back!

It is actually a good thing to get away from the world of the web sometimes, as it gives our brains, focus and even body a mini-regeneration. I know that I find that even after a few days of just web work, I need a day without the computer.
So yes, enjoy the fresh outdoors and exercising and of course settling into your new house and look forward to hearing from you can
