I love happy endings

The South African Blog Awards took place recently and I was very pleased to see a few of my favourite blogs win prizes. What I like about these awards is that we get introduced to some new blogs. There’s even a category for “Best Undiscovered Blog”, which this year was won my Alice Vosloo of “Living Life Breathlessly“. Something about the title attracted me and I popped in for a look-see! I found much more than I expected.

Alice is 23 years old and suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. She started this blog while waiting for a double lung transplant so that her friends and relatives could keep up with her progress. She received her new lungs 12 weeks ago today and her life has been transformed. A few days ago she went for her first run! This is a great blog to read! We can all learn from her.

If you are not already registered as an organ donor, please contact your local Organ Donor Foundation. You can’t take it with you and you can save someone’s life! Registration is free and simple

In South Africa, please visit the website of the South African Organ Donor Foundation.

I too am an organ donor. It’s a good feeling knowing that something I can leave behind will help someone! Thanks for the blog info!

I also found her blog after the awards and read the whole thing. Very impressive.

Besides being an organ donor people can do something while still alive - blood donor. Not that sore and could also save a life.
