Help!
I am being spammed to within an inch of my life by some very sick people! I’ve had more than 50 comments this evening that were obviously meant for a porn site. How did they end up here? The comments are going to all my old posts, and fortunately Wordpress is keeping them for moderation, so I can mark them as spam and delete them, but I just want it to stop!
What can I do?

Oh no!
I’m having a different problem at the moment, all my comments are being marked as spam, and that’s also crap!
Glad Wordpress is holding them for moderation at least!

Add askimet (although it sounds like you already have that if it’s asking you to approve them) or some other anti spam plugins.
A consequence of being succesful is that you get spam!

I had that happen to me one time too..I had like 30 comments from some weirdo. fortunately it never happened again. hoepfully it will stop.

word verification. I hate typing those stupid words but that might stop them or at least slow them down

I get this from time to time as well. After they see the comments aren’t showing up they often stop.
