  • 2,5 liters grapefruit, butternut, celery, rocket, Asian baby leaf salad mix  (this was quite simply the most delicious juice I’ve had so far on my juice feast - heavenly)
  • water
  • MSM
  • Flaxseed Oil

Weight

  • Starting weight  - 157 kg.
  • Weight on Tuesday 4 Mar - 143.7 kg
  • Total loss - 13.3 kg

Exercise: None

Energy levels:  Fairly low and I am worn out now.

Positive Changes:

  • My skin is soft and smooth all over.
  • I am no longer retaining water
  • My hair and body stay clean longer
  • My face is no longer oily.
  • My latest pimple outbreak is healing nicely.

Detox symptoms

  • My tongue is only slightly coated now
  • The skin on my hands has broken out in little blisters again.
  • I’m still have flu symptoms (including fever) and an irritating cough.
  • The lymph nodes in my left armpit are still hard, but getting smaller and they no longer hurt.
  • I’m always cold

Food cravings:  None.

Self Care

  • None today.

Emotions:   Happy!  I just feel so positive and excited about life.

Thoughts on the Day:

  •  Fellow Juice Feaster Kristi (she’s on Day 29) reports that she is swearing less.  As soon as she mentioned it, I realized that it was true for me too!  Apparently juice feasting not only cleans out your body and your emotions, but it cleans up your language too!  Good job!
  • It’s Craig’s birthday today and he managed to spend a few hours at home this afternoon.  We went to his folks for dinner, and they had lamb curry with rice and rotis, followed by the most delectable looking Russian cheesecake.  I sipped on my Barleylife (I always carry a few sachets in my bag) and allowed myself to enjoy the aroma of their food, but I wasn’t particularly tempted.
  • I enjoyed spending time with my in-laws again.  My mother-in-law especially is a very interesting person.  She teaches pre-school at a Waldorf (Rudolf Steiner) school and always has the most amazing stories and insights about “her” kids.  I am learning so much from her.
  • My juice feast is turning out to be a time of such enormous mental stimulation for me.  I am learning new things every day and feel that my mental acuity has increased.  But most significantly, I feel the call to a life that I could only dream about before, and somehow the pieces are all starting to fit together…  It would be premature to blog about particulars yet, but know this:  I will never be the same again and my dreams and expectations will never be the same again.  Every day when I look in the mirror, I see more Hanlie and as the outlines are becoming clearer, so the vision becomes clearer.  I have this overwhelming sense of gratitude for the process…
  • The last few days I have been contacted by quite a few people who say that they’ve been reading for a while, but had never commented before.  Welcome to Fertilehealthy!  Please don’t hesitate to aks questions, make suggestions, explore the site, tell  your friends, join my community at MyBlogLog or tell me about something interesting.  You’re my social life, remember?

About The Picture

  • North of Cape Town, up along the West Coast lies a region known as Namaqualand
  • In the dry summer months it is hard to believe that after the winter rains this area becomes a carpet of flowers for a few short weeks in spring.  It’s a riot of colour, ranging from white, through yellow, orange and red to purple.  Beauty in abundance!
  • During those few weeks, the Namaqualand towns burst their seams with all the tourists.

Once again, your pictures make we want to book a flight to your place.

Your sense of overwhelming gratitude struck a chord with me. It is amazing, this journey. Somehow, we all seem to be getting a glimpse of our “higher callings” through the disciplines we are developing. Not that our works do the trick, but I believe our focus does.

Thanks for confirming what others of us have felt. You’re awesome.

Sorry you’re feeling under the weather. I’m afraid I’m joining that club too. You are doing so well and staying so strong… I would have thought it woudl have been tough to watch everyone else eat while you were unable to. That just goes to show you are doing this for the right reasons and that you are incredibly strong in your resolve. Good for you!!

Oh I won’t take it personally.
I mostly did it because of the nature of my day.
(Cleaning, getting puked up on from the baby, sticky hands ALA Michael ha ha) so I would just wear one of his pull over gray sweatshirts or blue one and some of his 2x t-shirts that don’t fit him anymore (and the occasional Family Guy shirt I would steal from him ha ha).
It’s also hard when all of your clothes don’t fit right EXCEPT for the stretchy stuff after having another baby.
I did have some nicer shirts but they got stained from the daily stuff so in the trash they went.
What I am trying to do is wear my more “work type stuff” during the day when hubby is at work as well so I can clean and get puked up on and messed up by being outside with Michael and then put something nicer on when hubby is coming home. Nothing super glitzy or anything, just normal girl stuff without the athletic clothing still on. (make sense?)
I am looking forward to the day when I can go back to wearing dresses. I won’t wear a dress at my size. It just would not look right.
I was going through my closet and have some really cute things that will look/fit good 30 pounds from now. I am about 40 pounds heavier as of this moment than when I started having babies.
I got some of it off but not enough of it.
    Lots of work to do!
Thankfully I never gave up on my make-up and cute clothing when we had people over for parties/Holidays or when we went out somewhere more than just grocery shopping.
I was laughing because when I was shopping in Ross the other day, a lady and I were shopping side by side and commenting on things.
We were commenting on prices and styles.
She picked one up and said what the heck is this?
I picked up a t-shirt with animation character on it and said “this is who I NEVER want to become! Just shoot me now! ”
I am slowly getting back to the “real me” it’s just taking time!
Putting on red lipstick and painting my nails red last week put pep in my step for sure.
It was my signature trade mark for years.
Red lips and nails and sexy (not whorezilla though) clothes!

    Oh my goodness!
I just had to come back because as soon as I got done posting to you about getting my “clothing destroyed ha ha” it happened.
Mr. Tinkle pants (Matthew) pee’d on me when changing his diaper!
I immediately thought of you and my post ha ha.
Got the sheet and my nightgown and Michael’s foot ha ha.
Oh the things you are going to experience when you become a mama ha ha.

Are you missing regular food? I’m just wondering if the juice fast has altered your tastebuds and cravings…
