The healing breath
Last year when I did the Art of Living course, I learnt a very useful and powerful breathing technique, called Sudarshan Kriya, the Healing Breath.
This unique breathing practice is a potent energizer. Every cell becomes fully oxygenated and flooded with new life. Negative emotions that have been stored as toxins in the body are easily uprooted and flushed out. Tension, frustrations and anger get released. Anxiety, depression and lethargy are washed away. Both the mind and the body feel a welcome relief. After the practice, one is left calm and centered with a clearer vision of the world and of oneself. A sense of joy in the moment prevails where once again we can smile from our hearts. And when we feel good about ourselves, love flows naturally in all our relationships with others.
Sudarshan kriya is a powerful tool for daily living. It is simple to learn and easy to practice. I have no idea why I stopped doing it, but I miss it and I aim to practise it daily during my Juice Feast.

This technique sounds very refreshing! Perhaps this is something that I should check in since I have panic attacks and suffer with depression!
I have this very fruitful Asian Pear tree in the backyard and hope to add some additional fruit trees as well. Gosh, I am just drooling now thinking about it!
I usually try to focus on my breathing to get me through anxiety/panic attacks and I imagine this would be soothing!
Thanks for posting! I have never heard of it before.
I also wanted to say that I am proud of you and your juice feasting. It looks like you have done a lot of research and are going about this in a safe manner.
It doesn’t sound like starvation at all. It actually seems as though it would feed the soul very deeply and the health benefits sound wonderful.
I look forward to reading more about your experience with juice feasting!
Not sure if I would ever try it but I really would like to incorporate more raw fruits and vegetables into my diet.
I can’t wait for Summer when all of the berries and other fruits are at their peak!
I was thinking earlier today that I have an empty flower bed (actually one on the side of the house and one in the back of the house) and was originally going to put more flowers there but have started day dreaming a bit about putting fresh vegetables and some strawberries, blueberries, currents, gooseberries etc. YUM!
I could have my snacks during the Summer in the backyard!

Ken has been encouraging me to meditate for years now, he really thinks it would help my BP and anxiety. I’m going to start doing some investigation.

When I do take the time to breathe properly - I feel the benefits. But I so easily forget to breathe - if know what I mean.

I will look into this. Hey..this will help with childbirth! My son and I do breathing, visualization and tensing and relaxing muscles before bed. It helps him fall asleep. I do the breathing when I can’t sleep too. It’s really helpful..they say, “pretend your belly is a balloon, breath inthrough your nose and fill it up with air. Breath out through your mouth and let it out..” There are many different ones we try. I can send you some if you need. :O <—–breathe.
